Group Classes

At Inform Physio + Fitness, our group physio classes are run by one of our qualified Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologists. We offer a number of different class formats, including:

Clinical Exercise

The focus of Clinical Exercise classes or private sessions is on learning how to recruit and control the body’s deep stabilising, postural or core muscles necessary to support the spine during normal daily activities, sport or work.

We offer a choice of private 1 on 1 sessions, or semi-private classes, (limited to 4 per class) run by our DMA trained Physiotherapists. Classes include a combination of core exercises, stretching and functional strength training, using reformers, resistance pulleys and other small equipment.

Clinical Exercise can help people of all ages and abilities, including but not limited to those who suffer chronic back pain, an athlete wanting to improve performance and prevent injury, and women who are pregnant or who have just had a baby. The sessions aim to improve your mobility, stability, and strength in a safe environment.

The exercise program designed by your Physiotherapist is tailored specifically for you, therefore all new participants attend an assessment prior to commencing a class/private session and receive ongoing monitoring and regular re-assessment. This helps to identify key areas to focus on in order to achieve the best possible results.

Our semi-private classes, or private 1 on 1 sessions with a Physiotherapist entitle you to claim your sessions under “Group Physiotherapy” or “Physiotherapy” with your private health fund.

Men’s Core

This one is for the guys who like to train hard and need to improve their core. Using a combination of core exercises, stretching and functional strength training to improve and maintain optimal musculoskeletal health.

Senior’s Strength and Balance

Our Strength and Balance Program consists of education and group exercise classes, as well as individualised home exercises. The class is run by a Physiotherapist in a small group setting, within our fully equipped gym facility and is individually tailored to meet each person’s needs. Each participant is assessed pre and post participation in the program.

It is beneficial to a variety of seniors including those with an increased falls risk, decreased mobility, neurological conditions, osteoporosis, and osteoarthritis. Our classes can assist in improving strength, balance, mobility, flexibility and confidence.
